Thank you for this beautiful book. I can’t really put into words the many emotions I felt as I read it, and the many memories that came to me of my sweet cousin Tara. The tone, colors, illustration and phrasing are all so reminiscent of her.
In addition to being a wonderful tribute to Tara, this book will be very helpful when we inevitably have to explain to our children what happens when we lose a loved one. Thank you for taking the time and using your talent to such a sweet end.

Merry Christmas, Kathy–I am one of many proud aunts of Tara. The book is WONDERFUL!!!Margaret gave all of her siblings one last Saturday at our family Christmas party & told us not to open until Christmas. I remember Marg sharing this event with me after you told her about it.Christmas Eve was so balmy with a beautiful wind–now I know it was Tara kissing us…the best gift ever! Thanks for creating this book.It is truly a treasure, as was Tara. We can all strive for pure love such as Margaret’s!God bless you!

Hello Kathy and thank you for publishing Tara’s Message.I visit the elderly on Sundays before Church and this past weekend was asked to tell a 94 year old woman-Suzie- (at the earlier phone request of her daughter because she found it too difficult to tell her Mother herself) that her best friend had just passed away, not an unusual situation for me to see this( working with the elderly so much) but I never had to tell anyone until yesterday-I was going over what I might be able to say to ease her upcoming sorrow-then I realized your book I had just received from my sister Margaret was sitting in front of me-so I took it and read it to Suzie-then explained that Tara was my niece.I then told her simply that Tara has another Angel with her now her friend Molly and how fortunate Molly was to have lived a long healthy and happy life and to be happy for her,she is in your heart and will never leave.Suzie was fine and understood everything I read to her. She actually smiled at us and said” she lived a long and happy life” I thank God for working through you Kathy, just like all of us you will never realize the full extent of your work until you arrive in Heaven.God Bless us all.Tara’s Uncle George

from a postcard sent back to Kathy-
My friend Kelly recently and very suddenly lost her father. It has been such a hard struggle for Kelly. She is full of pain and loss. I usually have nothing to say that will help comfort her. Today I was in West Hartford Center and saw “Tara’s Message”. I bought a book for Kelly. I also bought a book for my family to have and share the beautiful message of death and finding comfort and peace when it happens.
thank you

My 2 1/2 year old daughter, F___, passed away from a brain tumor on the first day of summer in 2004. A week to the day I gave birth to my fourth child. I was browsing in a store in New Milford last week and this book was “sent” to me that rainy morning. I was feeling my daughter’s presence and my sincere loss (some days are still hard). I shared this book with my eldest child who will be 8 in January and she “got it”. thank you for sharing Tara’s Message.

An editorial note -
Kathy has received some amazing post cards from people who have read the book. We will be sharing them here from time to time. However, they will be lightly edited to respect the senders’ privacy. It is wonderful to be able to share these thoughts with all those who have been touched by Tara’s Message.

Thank you all for your wonderful comments. They have touched me so deeply and I am so grateful.
This weekend in the New Milford store a customer told me about her friend, also named Tara, who had lost 2 siblings this year and she was sure that the book was sent to her to help her friend.
Another customer told me of a 4 year old who lost his mother to cancer. After reading the book he ran into daycare saying “my mommy’s an angel!!!!”
I believe that Tara’s Message is spreading in its own way and reaching the people that need it most. I wish everyone a wonderful year filled with love and light…

I too shared this book with my friends, they all thought it sad. Sorry for them, they did not know Tara and could not see the how beautiful her world is.
Thank you for such a gift Marg! And thank you Kathy for creating this heirloom.

Hello -
I visited your store a week after my brother died unexpectedly, the book was open + I read it - the words were inspirational to me - it is a mystery what is beyond.
I only pray he is in a better place - where angels tread -
Thanks

A friend gave us a copy of Tara’s Message when my wife passed away, March 26, 2009. It made us cry again. Louise is not gone, as Tara’s Message suggests. She is with us each day in so many ways.

Hi Kathy
I visited your store in Madison…Loved it!
I am purchasing your book today for my daughter Rachel’s best friend Emma, 9 yrs old. 6 months ago Emma and her twin brother Brinton got brother and sister Black Lab puppies.. Emma named her girl puppy Molassas. On Christmas eve Emma and her parents took Molassas for a walk…they live on a farm and have a big pond. The pond was covered with thick ice. Molassas ran out onto the ice and fell through. Emma’s dad tried desperately to get the puppy out from under the thick ice, but he could not. Molassas was lost right before Emma and Brinton’s eyes.
Their Dad retreived Molassas from the frigid water the day after Christmas by putting on a wetsuit.
I am grateful for the Angels in my life. I looked at your wesite a few days after Christmas and knew as soon as I saw the book I would need it for someone soon, I just didn’t know who. Later that same afternoon I was told the story of Emma losing her puppy. My angels led me to your site.
I feel so bad the puppy drowned so horribly, but I am so so greatful it was not a child in the pond. My heart aches for Emma to witness such a thing at the tender age of 9. I am hoping your book is good for her. Thankyou
Lisa from Baltimore
